Women’s Institute will no longer accept trans women as members from April - The Guardian. This is plain mean. So people are going to have to show their birth certificate to join the WI? Will all members have to do this? What harm does a trans woman joining the WI do?

Lancashire’s Reform-run council plans to close care homes and day centres to sell off land - The Guardian. I didn’t know there were still any LA funded care homes left! Used to visit them a lot as a CPN and they weren’t fancy but the care was good. Hope Lancs manage to keep them.
