Unplugging the cat heating mat in the evening because I can’t compete with that. 🙃 Followed by guilt (with a cat laying on me)

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to dust off the Christmas classics:

Damn, this keynote I just finished designing is frankly inappropriate in how hard it goes.

No templates here… 😮‍💨

To people who live in NYC: does the beauty ever stop hitting?

Because while visiting I gasped every time that the Manhattan skyline popped into view and said “omg what a cute street” SO many times while walking through Brooklyn.

Do you still feel it or does your nervous system eventually adapt?

Wait—Canva acquired Affinity Designer and just made it free?

Great news for creatives, especially hobbyists. Adobe’s price structure and contracts are straight up predatory.

I love how apps refresh your timeline if you leave for like 8 seconds. Sometimes I’m just looking something up or writing down a note. Come back and the app is like “Fuck you, that post is gone forever. Good luck trying to find it again”

Might be late on this one, but Foundation on Apple TV is goooood. It gives me Game of Thrones vibes, but in space.

I just finished designing the swag for our hackathon at work. I love experimenting and generating ideas, but deadlines transform that into stress, procrastination, and hyperfocus, all on a loop.

It becomes the race to good enough, and a gentle reminder of why I didn’t make design a career.

AWS outage is like a snow day for software developers, but you’re still expected to shovel despite knowing you didn’t cause the storm.

A fake AI video of a plane literally shitting on America will one day be in the national archives. What a time to be alive.

And yet, somehow, describes the moment perfectly.

Apple News narrated during road trips has been my jam lately. Currently: 7,000 words on how an evil-villain billionaire has been using a Nazi jurist’s apocalypse theories as his political playbook. You know, light stuff. apple.news/ASkA50fXCSq2...
The Real Stakes, and Real Story, of Peter Thiel’s Antichrist Obsession
Thirty years ago, a peace-loving Austrian theologian spoke to Peter Thiel about the apocalyptic theories of Nazi jurist Carl Schmitt. They’ve been a road map for the billionaire ever since.

The music in Pokémon TCG Pocket did not have to go that hard. Like, every screen has its own song and each one is a jam. I’m out here getting hyped to do my wonder pick

Picked up my new phone at the Apple Store. Launch day buzz in the air: employees bracing for a busy day, security alarms blaring, and security mean-mugging at the front of the store.

It’s funny how the iPhones follow the relentless march of technology while the store experience remains evergreen.

Rinse, repeat, become jack of all trades, master of scrolling through old folders just trying to make sense of it all 🙃
