Hi, my name is Joey. I and a fellow adventurer are making our first video game: Turtle Island Garden Defense.

Our inspiration, Warcraft: Frozen Throne, Stardew Valley. If you are a fan of cozy #indiegames, #pixelart, #towerdefense, and #gardening, then follow along for more details to come!

I kinda think the way people use ChatGPT is sort of aspirational because it seems to emulate the way rich people have sycophants lying to them all the time until they lose touch with reality and also their entire minds

there is no other podcast out there that would think to do this and we are proud of that fact
Benny's Turn is online now. This is for all of you who are fans of both late 90s PC gaming and Jule Styne musicals

I've not been having a good mental health time for the last few weeks.

Probably the best milestone of that is getting the android port of doom and playing through *Thy Flesh Consumed* on my phone.

Another fantastic #BECMI session tonight. The focus on player driven narrative, while not unique to the system, is a major draw for me personally.

The players have now spent a year, 365 simulated days within this campaign.theyre no longer newcomers to a strange and foreign land.

A question of how to pitch a space-opera game to my friends who are going to be unfamiliar with the inspiration material. Some of them, through our little book club, have read some of the Aubrey-Maturin series. But none of them have watched *Legend of the Galactic Heroes*.

Rounding up my reading list for the year, my last 3 fiction books are the first three books of the Aubrey-Maturin series.

Great fun, highly recommend.
Captain Jack Aubrey is a himbo, but only on dry land.

No, I will accept neither comment nor criticism of this analysis.

And I am totally not posting on Bluesky to procrastinate on prepping for my game tomorrow. No sir. Not me. I would never get distracted from making the props for my game which were my idea in the first place.

I've been running a fairly loose game using the Rules Cyclopedia edition of D&D for about 8 months now. It's been an absolute blast, despite the limitations of running it online via discord. For those on the fence about trying games other than D&D I recommend the compromise of trying older editons.
