Irish BlueSky seems to be obsessed with zogabongs right now, and while I find it all very entertaining, I have yet to find an origin story for this current revival - anyone know anything??

I am sad to report that this is the end. When I worked in M&S, they only played obscure 70s and 80s pop, a lot of which I didn't know. But now? I hum along to Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous on the escalator, and openly sing to Stop by the Spice Girls packing my bag. NOW I AM THEIR TARGET MARKET.

I think it’s important to treat little kids like people, but sometimes regular grownup stuff just scrambles their brains. Have you ever met a three-year-old and told them: “I’ve heard so much about you!” Their expression is like…what the hell? How? Why?

Did you buy a book today? Borrow one from the library? Get a loan of one from a friend? Find one waiting for you on a park bench? Yes? Very good, carry on.

I have fought the good fight on behalf of Evan Ferguson many times. Unless we get a statement clarifying this, that's it for me.
Now praying for Ferguson and Parrott’s downfall

Not finding the Damien Duff news quite as entertaining now that my own club appears to be in crisis. Life is too cruel. /s

Last month I did a little experiment.

I wanted to see how the exact same post would perform on both X (Twitter) and Bluesky.

The results were...interesting...

If you don't vote for Jack for #DWTSIrl final tonight, you have an anti-Tallaght bias and I'm coming after you 🤣
He and Alex are such a wonderful couple, I've enjoyed this series so much 💖 🕺 💃

Everyone in Ireland needs to read this article - then make a vow to call out all signs of this behaviour EVERY single time. People are mindlessly allowing themselves to be used as a vicious army of trolls when there is NO reason for it.

Reading Maeve Brennan will improve your life! This is published by New Island Books in Ireland www.newisland.ie/shop/p/the-v...

I also strongly recommend The Springs of Affection collection, published by The Stinging Fly. Two great Irish publishers.

Dear Jaysus, if you post a full thread on Bluesky, the whole thing is posted under "Replies", even the lead message which is the first one in the thread.
I keep thinking I can use this thing in the same way as the old place. I should know better.

Bit of a mad weekend even though the furthest I went from the house was the second-closest supermarket.
Buses in Dublin on Friday night were appallingly bad - I know it was Black Friday, but my God!! Ended up getting a bus halfway home because none of my bus routes seemed to be running on time 1/4

Summary for the uninitiated: journalist @katiehannon.bsky.social mistakenly tagged a Florida man in a post on #GE24 instead of political correspondent @mcculld.bsky.social. Irish social media being what it is, it snowballed - and here we are now 😂😂😂

For all my new Irish friends, because of the strangest case of mistaken identity in the history of Irish-American relations, I've been invited to be interviewed by Katie Hannon. The taping is tomorrow and I'll let you know when it's scheduled to be aired
