Now... @helsinhashtags.bsky.social, what do you think, should we ask for copyright clearance to put this in our book proposal?
Hoping this helps our colleagues across the industry

bold choice for an English King Charles to be taking on Catholic vibes. historically speaking. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Pope Leo and King Charles make history by praying side by side
The prayer closes a gap that stretched back to the Reformation in the 16th century.

"you mentioned Moretti in the syllabus, and so I looked him up. I have a couple of questions about distant reading"
my whole semester of teaching has been redeemed.

A student read the syllabus? spotted a reference to a scholar and looked up his work? had follow up questions? IS THIS REAL LIFE

Sometimes you have professors whose guidance follows you through the world. Sometimes you find yourself bickering with their ghost in your head.

Why, oh why, ghost of Morris Eaves am I now googling the Shannon-Weaver freaking model?

"An English degree is a rip off" said by the people who are currently ripping everyone off. They don't want you to be literate, to understand the context, the references or the rhetoric they are using to scam you.

A rip off for THEM. If you can read, write and parse meaning, you're harder to fool.
