Travel. Political hot takes. Food. Education justice. Selfies. Trauma healing. Whatever else comes to mind. M.Ed currently, EdD candidate.
When we talk about who we vote for, and we say “there’s some good in their policies (why we pick them) and also “some bad but the good outweighs it”

We need to change that view. If they only do the “bad” - is it still worth it? Trade the rights of your neighbor for a better economy? Yikes.

I’m ready for malicious compliance here. You want religious schools funded by the feds? Let’s see Hindu, Muslim, etc pop up everywhere. Choice? BLM Charter, Queer Studies Charter, etc.

(I know what they’re doing, I’m just dreaming here 🔥)

As one of former President Jimmy Carter's appointees, I shared some thoughts on his presidency awhile back. The rap on Carter has been that his presidency failed yet his post-presidency was the best in modern history. This is too simplistic. robertreich.substack.com/p/jimmy-cart...

Every year, not on NYE but ✨MY✨ new year (aka birthday), I select a word to meditate on and embody in the year ahead. Words like “intentional” or “quality.” For year 34 my word is “wonder” - both meaning awe and meaning curiosity. I’m eager to see how it keeps unfolding.
