The Dropbox app (at least on iOS) does not seem to use file names for search, which is annoying.

Searching for a picture I had taken of a large pile of acorns ("acorns_on_lawn_2024-12-01.jpg"), but it just returns a lot of pictures that have nothing to do with acorns.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

It's turning out to be faster to dig these holes with the 3" auger bit vs using the 8" auger bit because of all of the rocks.

Even for the wildest run-time generated SQL you could still run the SQL through a parser to provide some sanity checks before executing it.

But there's no grammar for AI prompts. A feature and a bug at the same time 😀
Once again, if your LLM system combines access to private data, exposure to malicious instructions and the ability to exfiltrate information (through tool use or through rendering links and images) you have a nasty security hole

Аnother example of where АI can be helpful, but also stupid.

I needed the MАC Address from something in an awkward location, so I took a picture of the label on it that includes the MАC.

Аpple's AI recognizes the text in the picture and lets me select it (vs me re-typing it). Great!
