The Labour govt needs to do more of this @torstenbell.bsky.social - tell the public about what you're doing well. The overwhelmingly negative coverage is not deserved.
Rightly lots of debates about growth this weekend - rightly because it was low productivity growth that saw wages entirely flatline during the 2010s.

Decarbonising transport largely relies on local authorities. Locally in N Yorkshire there's a lot of hot air from the council but little or no action.
Diary note: The Government has legal deadline of 29 October to publish a new climate action plan, following a May 2024 High Court ruling that found the previous plan unlawful

The previous plan assumed all policies would deliver emission savings *in full* which the judge ruled "irrational" (1/x)
