Los Angeles residents were outraged after dozens of federal agents marched through MacArthur Park, in one of the city’s most immigrant-heavy neighborhoods. En 2042 MEX no podrá financiar la atención a la salud al nivel -paupérrimo- de hoy. Para el 2010 estamos frítos. Urgen tres cosas:
1. Reformar la recaudación
2. Eficientar el gasto

You can think of the latest round of revisions in the IMF forecasts as an evaluation of who is likely to suffer most from the Trump tariffs. The biggest loser is Mexico, followed by the United States. China's economy will suffer, but not as much. And the rest of the world will suffer, too.

Si la idea es beneficiar a los trabajadores y sus familias, los aranceles no son la mejor solución. Disminuyen el bienestar general y dañan a los más pobres vía precios. Es mejor buscar impuestos progresisvos y una seguridad social bien diseñada. Ya es tiempo.
