Here Is Where It Hurts is out today on @difficultart.bsky.social

This project combines electronics & field recordings with poetic fragments & collage.

“…a collection of half-exposed photographs: layers of hiss and murk obscure fragments of melody that drift eternally in and out of view.“

Only a hundred pages in, with many more to go, but I’m already completely invested in this epic journey into the mountains. One step at a time – 𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘱-𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘱-𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘱-𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘱

Tom’s Crossing by @markzdanielewski.bsky.social is really something special. Mark has done it again.

I can’t express how amazing the POST- album is. Manages to incorporate drone, krautrock, post-rock, improv, noise, and a thousand other things with the ultimate grace and precision.

I think this might be the first time a physical album on DAAM has sold out on the day of release. Good work @heavycloud.bsky.social! And please do pick up the digital if you missed out!

It's a hard time for the label at the moment, so I'm going to ask a favor.

If you have a minute, please listen to one of our new releases.
Then, if you appreciate what we are up to, tell someone about it.

I'm really proud of the last few DAAM releases, and need them to reach a bigger audience.

Couple of DAAM affiliated artists on this awesome mix, including a track from our latest by @heavycloud.bsky.social!

Grassroots music lives and dies by YOU listening to mixes, reading blogs and picking up albums, so I implore you - listen and buy one of the albums here (even if its not from us!)

was just googling some other things and stumbled on this rather excellent review by @organmagazine.bsky.social.

Never have I been told off so many times in such a short burst of writing. Having been fired from 2 different music-reviewer jobs for being too critical, I'm a fan.

ORGAN THING: I Only Like Difficult Art (and music) is the name of this compilation album, but does it really do what it (maybe rather pretentiously) says on the tin? is it really that difficult?
I Only Like Difficult Art (and music) – (Difficult Art And Music) – You might want to spend your money on sherbet and cheese strings instead of this compilation and aliens might already…

You legit forgot to check this out.

DAAM are not just any label - we curate a broad palette of truly experimental, challenging music, practitioners working at the pinnacle of their discipline.

Give us a moment of your time.

A very big thank you for including my work alongside so many wonderful writers.

After listening,
the work sounds
slightly detuned —

fridge,
traffic,
breath.
