I got my Covid and Flu shots on Sunday. Instead of the usual tiredness the same day, I felt okay until evening, when everything started to ache. Chills, headache, aches kept me up much of the night, and I stayed home from work today. Still aching. Anyone else have this reaction?

Stopped to chat with a familiar looking Dad and his young daughter today; they were admiring my dog (who was thrilled with the attention). Turns out he was a former student. He thanked me for teaching him, and said he’d learned a lot from me. I felt so touched that he’d shared this with me.

Why don’t women’s plus size 🩱have plus size cups/shelf bras? Every 🩱 I’ve ever owned fails to contain the girls. 👙doesn’t help: bra size stays the same, but straps get bigger and longer. Don’t they get that if I have big hips and a big ass, I might need more than a D cup?

This is what I told a parent about their brilliant neurodivergent child’s standardized test score:
“Timed standardized tests do not always allow children to shine and show what they know and can do. Your child’s beautiful brain can’t be measured by this simple test, but I see his brilliance.”

I swam 4.45 km today, in open water! My goal was to go from A to B (then along the shoreline to ensure I reached 4 km, but it was wavy and I was swimming against the wind: tiring and dangerous! So after 650 m, my safety boat drove me to B, and I swam 3.8 km back to A.

I came up with a new curse to inflict upon my enemies in the summer: “May you have pointy rocks under thin-soled Crocs!”
Yes, I’m on vacation and have plenty of time to walk (on gravel, in Crocs) and plan hexes, curses, and dishes of cold revenge.
(Joking - I’m not that into the dark arts.)

I swam 3.85 km today! Not bad for a 50+ yr old, out-of-shape lady! I love swimming in my local Great Lake, but this year I’m participating in the Swim 10 K in August challenge to raise $ for the Canadian Cancer Society. As of today, I’m at 12.6 km, and have raised $600.

Today I learned that the French name for Gravybones (a type of Milkbones dog biscuits) is “gât-os”.
I do appreciate a pun, in any language, and my dog loves treats no matter what we call them!
