Delighted to write for @labourcid.bsky.social as COP30 is upon us. Climate change is everyone’s problem, and for us all to find a solution. This is what I ask of world leaders:
“At COP30, world leaders face a choice: will they take the decisions that help countries withstand the devastation of climate change – or wait until the costs come crashing back home?”

A world without poverty was the clarion call of the last Labour Government. It can be of this one too. As chair of @labourcid.bsky.social I am proud to have co-written the foreword with Joe Dromey @thefabians.bsky.social for our essay collection collaboration exploring the future of development.
The UK has a proud record on overseas aid.
But in recent years we've seen cuts in the development budget, and a fracturing on the political consensus around aid.

Been a busy few weeks for Cllr Turan and I for Islington Labour in Laycock ward. We have been working hard to ensure resident concerns are heard, especialy in the Grove estate. Thanks to executive member for homes Cllr Woolf for the help with Hyde Housing to ensure works are carried out.
