My surgery is scheduled for late January! The goal amount is kind of the bare minimum, it covers the nasal splints (300$), transportation & other costs. Any help is appreciated! Thanks for all the help!!

anyway it's just heartbreaking. the people who deserve more than anyone some space to escape the material conditions they're born into are also the ones who are pushed to the brink of suicide for daring to "ruin" the comfort of white people by reminding them they exist and enjoy fiction too

when you talk about 'fandom wars' what's pictured is dorks crying over fictional characters but really it is millions of young people disenfranchised and isolated by disability and other material conditions being further traumatized/groomed by homogeneity in spaces they seek understanding and escape

randomly went down a rabbit hole seeing my old fan art out in the wild and remembered how bad it was being in nerd spaces... no one sees the behind the scenes of being targeted by racists over fictional characters. yes it does get serious. some people do not survive the crossfire.

#NEISVoid #MedSky this issue needs to be on everyone's lips until we have a solution in place. A lot of PoC died during early COVID because oxygen wasn't being given out without low pulse oximeter readings + they have trouble with dark skin. The issue continues to this day.
That reminds me, I need to talk to my doctors about the pulse ox issue again. They're much better than most, but it's something that needs reinforcing.
