i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

We really did try to grow our own pumpkins last year, it was so hard and in the end a bust. So, we’re glad to support our local Bigger’s Market this year. Loving all the varieties and colors!

I really am struggling with how to continue relationships with Trump voters. I work with a few and they’re not bad people, not hateful, not extreme. But they knowingly support a very bad person doing incredibly harmful things to individuals, groups, and our country. What to do?
