1. The military doesn’t “claim” they must follow only legal orders, it’s a mandate. It’s not a debatable topic. And frankly, the government is also required to follow laws.

2. It’s Congress’ job to check the executive branch, not the electorate. We can only vote every 4 years!

Schools work tirelessly to help children learn and practice kindness to EVERYONE. Bullying is wrong, bystanders should use their power to stop it, and perpetrators disciplined. If this is what we want for society through raising our children, why can’t we expect it from this guy?

Basically if a supposedly scientific site is “sometimes” inaccurate and influenced by politicians, then nothing on it can be trusted. Someday it can be fixed and regain our trust but it’s gonna take certain specific personnel changes and lots of time and evidence.

Just add “as defined by those in power” to each statement and I wouldn’t disagree. But the result is not the destruction of humanity, more diversification of thought and progress.

We saw this trailer in the theatre a while ago and I was like, this feels like a familiar story! I’d read the book years ago, and while it wasn’t as popular as some of his others, it was an interesting take on interacting with alien species. Excited to see it on screen
