Second-grader Diana Crespo likes to paint and play with friends. She and her parents were detained last week as they tried to see a doctor. She's now being held at the same Texas detention center as 5-year-old Liam Ramos from Minnesota.

Breaking News Update: Two people were shot Thursday by federal officers operating in East Portland, according to the Portland Police Bureau. The victims were transported to a local hospital. It was not immediately clear their condition, police said in a release.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said Garcia was in serious condition when they transported him to OHSU on Monday. A relative of Garcia's told me that he was pulled over along with another family member, when Border Patrol smashed their window and dragged him out of the car
A 45-year-old man who works in construction and has lived in Oregon for more than 20 years was reportedly treated at OHSU after an altercation earlier this week with U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. Family says he is now behind held in a Tacoma detention facility.

Immigration officers have hit the city of Hillsboro hard in the past two weeks. To help students and parents feel safer, staff at an elementary school and nearby middle school, along with representatives from the local teachers’ union, have responded by standing watch in the neighborhood.

On Wednesday, Judge Katherine Weber reduced Farley’s bail to $100,000 at the request of his defense attorney, Stephen Houze. This means Farley will need to post 10% of that amount — $10,000 — to get out of Clackamas County Jail.

The Clackamas County jail roster indicates former West Linn doctor David Farley is in custody ahead of an arraignment this afternoon. He's facing 11 charges related to the sexual abuse of his patients.

Though widespread allegations of sexual abuse against David Farley first came to light five years ago, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has not had to answer for the part it allegedly played — until now.

David Farley has been accused of sexually abusing more than 170 of his former patients.
