My statement ending my campaign for Congress. It has been an honor to even be considered as a candidate, and I hope that you will read my final statement.

I'm not gone forever, I'll run for something again. But the reality is that this race deserves a candidate that can do what it takes to win.

100,000 federal workers are set to resign on Tuesday.

“Federal workers stay for the mission. When that mission is taken away, when they’re scapegoated, when their job security is uncertain, and when their tiny semblance of work-life balance is stripped away, they leave.”

Observing the bumper sticker evolution from faded “terrific kid” to brand new “student driver” is one that really makes me feel connected to other drivers on the road in a way that I feel like needs to be talked about more.

If a judge found out that I threatened to send someone to Eswatini if they didn’t plead guilty, two things would happen:

1. I’d be asked if I made that country up.

2. I would be disbarred for prosecutorial misconduct.

This justice department is a disgrace to the profession.

I know this is like so not the point of RFKs testimony or existence, but his ties are entirely too thin.

It’s sartorial malpractice and I don’t know why he continues to get away with it.

It’s rare that I get to read a 150-year-old law originally enacted to limit federal interference in the post-Reconstruction South—and even rarer when the brother of the late Justice Breyer uses that law to curb a so-called limited government Republican’s executive overreach.

But today is that day.

As members of Congress return from their month at home, I was reminded of my favorite Nancy Mace quote (there aren't many).

It’s something she and I agree on deeply, and I’m sure she will remember her convictions as Trump is likely to sign the 200th executive order of his second term this week.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while:

There is so much discourse on what the Democratic Party needs to do, what we want from our elected officials, that we shouldn’t have purity tests, etc.

But what I want to know is this: why are you a Democrat?

Please repost so there are more responses!

And energy independence is the key to America’s global future.

We could be energy independent today had Ronald Reagan not killed off solar panel manufacturing in the 80’s.

It’s not too late to correct that mistake, but we have to start now.

Democrats will say its guns, Republicans will say its mental health.

But Dems have worked to fund mental healthcare while Republicans have crusaded to end it. We've tried to come for the guns, but Republicans have sat on their hands. We're the only ones acting to end a solvable issue.

That’s over 1/3 of recipients for those keeping track at home.

The attack on public education embarrassingly sloppy and is being carried out by people trying to bring “competency” back to education.

If the midterms were held today, a new poll from The Economist has independents voting for the democratic candidate by TEN points.

If this redistricting war continues, the GOP is going to have to eat their own shoes.

The wave is blue, and it is coming.

Control of Congress is in the balance, and MAGA knows that, and they know they’re losing popularity. Their solution? Cheat.

I was asked this on a fundraising call today.

Make no mistake, I support a nationwide ban on racial and political gerrymandering. But if the GOP is going to start redrawing lines mid census cycle so they don’t lose in the midterms, Democrats cannot afford to “go high.”

Pathetic. Greg Abbott and the GOP in the TX legislature are dismantling democracy before our eyes under the guise of passing flood relief funding.

Never forget that democrats tried to pass flood relief, but the GOP insisted that they vote on the gerrymandered map if they wanted it.

This is my new opponent, and it looks like he’s running to be the most conservative Congressman. In his kickoff, he said that he agrees with every single Trump policy, does not believe in climate change, and he has consistently been the worst enemy of public education in SC.

SC cannot afford him.

Netanyahu nominated Trump for a Nobel peace prize last month. This month, Pete Navarro says that Trump deserves a Nobel prize in economics for his tariff practices.

These are the most messed up and confusing participation trophies I’ve ever heard of.

Of the 60,000 people killed in Gaza, half of them are women and children.

20,000 Gazan children have been treated for acute malnutrition since APRIL as Israel uses starvation as a weapon of war.

Both are war crimes and genocide. It’s not complicated. Even MTG gets it.
