Day 5 of a child SA trial got me like...

If a judge found out that I threatened to send someone to Eswatini if they didn’t plead guilty, two things would happen:

1. I’d be asked if I made that country up.

2. I would be disbarred for prosecutorial misconduct.

This justice department is a disgrace to the profession.

It’s rare that I get to read a 150-year-old law originally enacted to limit federal interference in the post-Reconstruction South—and even rarer when the brother of the late Justice Breyer uses that law to curb a so-called limited government Republican’s executive overreach.

But today is that day.

As members of Congress return from their month at home, I was reminded of my favorite Nancy Mace quote (there aren't many).

It’s something she and I agree on deeply, and I’m sure she will remember her convictions as Trump is likely to sign the 200th executive order of his second term this week.

Democrats will say its guns, Republicans will say its mental health.

But Dems have worked to fund mental healthcare while Republicans have crusaded to end it. We've tried to come for the guns, but Republicans have sat on their hands. We're the only ones acting to end a solvable issue.

That’s over 1/3 of recipients for those keeping track at home.

The attack on public education embarrassingly sloppy and is being carried out by people trying to bring “competency” back to education.

Our party has a problem with overly relying on polls, I’ll grant you. But when they all align like this, I think we’d be foolish to ignore them.

Not only that, but we’re countering a narrative that republicans are “entitled” to more seats when the numbers look like this.

My statement ending my campaign for Congress. It has been an honor to even be considered as a candidate, and I hope that you will read my final statement.

I'm not gone forever, I'll run for something again. But the reality is that this race deserves a candidate that can do what it takes to win.

Let’s not forget the 600 million to develop a bird flu vaccine that he canceled already.

Control of Congress is in the balance, and MAGA knows that, and they know they’re losing popularity. Their solution? Cheat.
August 6, 2025 at 6:31 PM
Pathetic. Greg Abbott and the GOP in the TX legislature are dismantling democracy before our eyes under the guise of passing flood relief funding.

Never forget that democrats tried to pass flood relief, but the GOP insisted that they vote on the gerrymandered map if they wanted it.

When Sunday scaries meet Monday blues, you get Nancy Mace running for governor of your state.

Stop the count!

Stop testing for COVID!

Fire the non-believers!

It would be so boring if it wasn’t so awful.

This is my new opponent, and it looks like he’s running to be the most conservative Congressman. In his kickoff, he said that he agrees with every single Trump policy, does not believe in climate change, and he has consistently been the worst enemy of public education in SC.

SC cannot afford him.

I only looked up because I thought the clap was coming.

Since #MeToo and Epstein, more survivors are speaking, more abusers are being punished, and people are leading with belief now more than ever.

But the fight isn’t finished. In Congress, I’ll fight tirelessly until every child has access to equal justice.

This guy openly admits to being a Nazi and a fascist, says he’s proud of it and unashamed, then complains when he gets fired from his job.

The worst part? He started a GoFundMe after he lost his job that has already crowd funded tens of thousands of dollars.

Because Republicans' cuts to SNAP, 1.4M children will lose their free lunches this year. And they tried to take it away from 18 million more with changes to the universal free lunches program.

Meanwhile? $182B more for defense.

Always enough for bombs, never enough for hungry kids.

Meanwhile, we have had 205 mass shootings in this country this year. So far.

55 years ago and 240 thousand miles from home, three of our bravest souls soared beyond earth’s cradle and into the unknown.

Apollo 11 wasn’t just a mission, it was a reminder that humanity is meant to explore. We are meant to rise. We are meant to continue reaching for the impossible.

Ralph needs a Jet2 holiday from budget hearings.

*a tax hike artificially created by Republicans in 2017.
July 12, 2025 at 9:12 AM
Fact check: Ralph Norman voted “yes” (twice) on a budget bill that is estimated to add 2.5-3 trillion dollars to the national debt.

I don’t feel that the second part is worth addressing.

Thanks to @tangentsafari.bsky.social for bringing this to my attention!

I have seen HEINOUS comments like this in far too many places.

Parents are suffering the loss of their children. Children suffered and died alone, confused, and terrified—my heart aches at the mere thought of their fear.

These commenters are not liberals, they are sociopathic.

There’s nothing more SC5 than driving past the peach and the abandoned Fatz while your six year old yells “LOOK AT THE BUTT, DADDY” from the back seat.
