Does anyone know how I can change preferences for communication from the NHS. Have had three letters this morning which I’d already read on the app.

Don’t want to cost the NHS/ planet any more than I have to!

I wish someone would make the following (at a cheaper price than the all singing and dancing alternatives):

* Oven that just goes to 170°
* Tumble dryer with one setting that just gets stuff dry
* Dishwasher with one setting that just gets things clean

Less options, cheaper price.
The end. 😂

Phonics target, attendance target, more reading tests; so utterly depressing.
I’m not one for bleating, but the world has changed. Schools are unrecognisable from 10 years ago: complex and scary needs, apathy, illness. Sooner we understand this, the quicker we can address it.

How many are on the SLT at your school?

We are 11-18 Local Authority with 1214 students.

It seems in line with the schools where I have worked previously but may be different around the country?

Think I would struggle for capacity if we cut any.
❌ Ministers have suggested rising numbers of assistant heads could be the place to target cost-cutting as schools are forced to make savings to fund future teacher pay rises.

So what’s behind the rise, and is a cut do-able? Schools Week investigates...

A very personal post.

Today was the first day I have been out of the house “for fun” in weeks. I fell over weeks ago and have damaged my knee badly. Today I was taken out in a wheelchair. It gave me such a different view of the world and complete empathy and understanding of a very different life.

All the Heads I know are on their knees, seeing children presenting with more complex needs than ever before, extreme behaviour and limited funding.
The majority of this is in EYFS and Year 1. So instead of announcing something to help this, we'll raise a target to add pressure.
