Flemish liberal party Open VLD has a new leader: Frédéric De Gucht, the lead negotiator in the ongoing talks to form a Brussels government and son of former Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht, was elected Friday with 91 percent of the vote.
“Liberals are in the firing line,” De Gucht said.
