Northern lights over DC, taken in Arlington, VA. Visible only through my camera, though! Very faint pink and green hues to the naked eye, nut what a visual treat. This made my day! ✨

1/ Mapped the spread of invasive mussels for @washingtonpost.com. Collaborated with @timmeko.bsky.social on the basemap. Also sketched the mussels to go with the story. Edited by Tim Meko.

Not quite the Dormidots style, but kind of. I'll thread the artwork that I showed Tim for inspo on this map.

This upcoming Friday, I'll be selling some map prints out of a backyard in Capitol Hill.

The only subway maps you'll find to include hamsters, and they'll be available here!

When I’m not working, I like to create art. This recent piece is a renter-friendly mural using an old shower curtain because your girl didn’t have a large canvas on hand. I initially thought of making a huge map, but it felt like the space wanted flowers. 🌼💐🌻

I’m back on YouTube! I’ll share life beyond the byline & behind the maps, my work and others’ work that I admire, and hopefully restart making QGIS/mapping tutorials again. I’m creating my own happy place online. Come hang out and let me know if you have tutorial/feature requests!

And now I miss Oz, too. I wonder when I’ll ever be able to visit again.
