Well, personally I think the Ed Gein series on Netflix is kind of brilliant. If you want a documentary about Gein then nope, not for you. And it’s not perfect, it’s uneven and a bit disjointed. But, it’s still kind of brilliant. Great Hermann inspired soundtrack too.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

“If you want a n word for a neighbour vote Labour”..

“I’d not condemn anyone who said that. I would say that is how people see the situation in Smethwick. I fully understand the feelings of the people who say it. I’d say it is exasperation, not fascism.”

Tory Peter Griffiths 1964 or Jenrick 2025.

Is there any chance that someone from this excuse of a government won’t equate protesting the treatment of Palestinians with hating Jews ? Or apparently being “un-British” whatever the fuck that means.

I generally think that direct action groups are as counterproductive as they are productive but I can’t for the life of me see why spray painting some planes, smashing windows etc can be remotely called terrorism. Seems to be just banning troublesome political opponents to me.

Personally, I don't think "it's appropriate" for the PM to censor art and culture, whatever he/you may think of it : www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I've genuinely never been more disgusted with my country's government than now. The Iranian regime are awful, the Israeli regime are awful - what in the fuck are we doing supporting an Israeli propaganda viewpoint. It's Iraq all over again, no WMD but fuck it we'll attack anyway.
June 16, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Israel isn't attacking Iran because it's worried about Nukes, it's doing it because it sees a weakness & a US president that will wave thru its ideological POV. UK shouldn't be selling weapons to Israel & the bullshit at the G7 about Israel defending itself against a non existent threat is appalling

So.. Iran complies with nuclear deal, Trump pulls US out, Iran thinks fuck it, no point if the US isn’t on board. IAEA says Iran isn’t complying ( with a largely pointless deal ). Israel desperate to bomb Iran. Apparently every country involved in this is run by morons.

Theatre job I just saw offered… 3k for 10 wks, assistant director. At least 6 weeks will be 6 days a week 10-6 min, plus 4 weeks of variable, random hours. Way below minimum wage and in a “known” London theatre. The industry is so fucked.

No idea how Waitrose stays in business.. even the discounted price is batshit mental.

The entire messaging from the Labour Party in Ramsgate has been, if you don’t vote for us Reform will win. If you suggest Labour are crap and you might vote Green they say “you’ll be responsible for Reform winning”. Not them. No awareness at all that maybe Labour are a bag of crap at the moment.
April 29, 2025 at 11:26 AM
@libdems.bsky.social are the candidates you’re fielding in Ramsgate genuine or paper ? I’ve had no leaflets, no attempts at canvassing , nothing.

Another release!

I'm one of 1,000+ musicians who are releasing this album today to protest the UK's planned changes to copyright law, which would hand the life's work of the country's musicians to AI companies for free. It's an album of recordings of empty studios.

When we need a fragile truce in Gaza to hold, Trump’s dangerous ramblings about displacing 1.8 million people only make things worse.

At PMQs, I told Keir Starmer he must be clear: these proposals must be rejected, and we must continue to support a two-state solution.

The government should draw up plans for Tesla tariffs to hit Musk where it hurts, if Trump follows through with his threats to the UK steel industry.

Trump and Musk can't be allowed to bully the UK while the Conservatives and Nigel Farage cheer them on from the sidelines.
