Unreasonably excited for Bubsy 4D, given that I am the only person I know who

A) Played Bubsy 3D

and

B) Actually still somehow enjoyed the cartoonishly terrible design, graphics, and gameplay

For my sins, please enjoy Bubsy Visits The James Turrell Retrospective

There is nothing more infuriating than confidently building a “minimal reproduction” project to sling at a 3rd party library developer in the hopes they'll fix a bug, only for the “minimal reproduction” project to work absolutely flawlessly and reveal that it is, in fact, you whomst is the idiot.

Don't try to do something in the cleverest way possible until you're absolutely sure you can do it in the dumbest way possible

“This Is the dumbest code I've ever seen. The person who wrote this is both an idiot and a psychopath”

We spent years beating DRY into programmers and now you want me to trick a computer into doing something close to what I want by writing the same thing in fifteen subtly different ways?

As your Unity project grows, it can be difficult to keep iteration times down and to ensure that your team's various workflows remain pain-free. With a small investment of time, this quick utility can keep development time down & developer happiness up!

I will always find it funny that when staff leave OpenAI they always bust out a Torment Nexus tweet:

"I'm sad to announce that I'm leaving OpenAI after working on amazing things with fantastic people. Everything we did is terrifying and will hasten our demise. Looking forward to the next chapter!"

Unity Build Profiles are exactly what a company that builds a game engine, but crucially *not* games, would offer in response to demand for more flexible build configurations. #unity3d

Though we might hire programmers primarily for their coding skills, it's worth keeping an eye out for other natural strengths and innate tendencies that can provide an enormous benefit to your team #programming #coding https://buff.ly/4g6DFuX

Today, I spent an absurd amount of time debugging a failing automated process that turned out to be caused by Powershell’s 2GB size limit on the Compress-Archive command, and now I'm wondering how on earth I've managed to avoid hitting it so far 🙈
