Given the state of the world it might surprise you to find that my actual most-blocked account or term is Gotye.

Pulte...Pulte...where have I heard that name and why am I not at all surprised.
The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.

This was a good surprise for today that I cynically was not expecting.

I contacted all of these feckless pukes this morning. They have functioning websites if you're not a longtime listener, first-time caller.
Here are the 8 Democratic senators who just voted to move forward with an agreement to end the shutdown:

Catherine Cortez Masto
Dick Durbin
John Fetterman
Maggie Hassan
Tim Kaine
Angus King (I)
Jacky Rosen
Jeanne Shaheen

This is just SO GROSS 🤢

I'm sorry to throw a wrench in what you're mad about, but campaign finance reform and an end to Citizens United are better fixes for what you're mad about than age or term limits (and limiting the free will of voters).

When only a discount version of Marjorie Taylor Greene will do, she's your gal.

Your job today is to tell the government that DHS and ICE don't need to be collecting DNA from immigrants, even for things like "but we want to know their chromosomes :("

I voted! Here is a photo of my sticker. You should vote too if you are eligible.

I do not like voting in schools. That nearly always means students were displaced. I also prefer mail voting, because it's secure and convenient.

I don't care if you have Halloween, Christmas, election, or Valentine's Day decorations up today. I don't care what tunes you're piping into this retail establishment. Do what makes you happy. (Particularly if it includes strings of lights during the darker time of year, N Hemisphere.)

When you're looking for food banks to give to this season, don't forget to give to diaper banks as well. Diaper Need: The Invisible Public Health Crisis share.google/Uhz6BvJhRS5T...

And do check when you can for whether your local organizations can do more with cash or with items!
Diaper Need: The Invisible Public Health Crisis
In the wealthiest country in the world, sometimes the difference between making it and not making it can be as simple as a diaper.

This is so much better than having a press conference at Four Seasons Landscaping.
In so many ways, the vibrancy of our city can be judged by the health of our bodegas.

That’s why I’m so proud to be in the Bronx this morning to accept the endorsement of the United Bodegas of America.

You can't tell me Elise Stefanik wrote this herself or would be in any way qualified as a researcher of such things. I love that her new team couldn't spell her name right in the book deal announcement—a preview of errors and lies to come.

I'm sorry but you have a perfectly good security bunker at home and we don't need another.

Well, thanks to people stomping around about things I don't particularly care about (the state of our writing on social media), I learned a new thing related to the state of writing everywhere else (thing I care about) that crosses over, which is my phone has a key option—for my fave the em dash.

I've been gardening edible plants for a couple summers now. This year, I got:
- small box of baby tomatoes
- one big tomato that went bad because I didn't see it growing
- handful of strawberries
- handful of small hot peppers
- some herbs
- 4 blueberries

That's not enough for a single meal.
On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

I dunno, maybe run for something like city council or library board before you go for the senate or governor or president. Answer your own phone. Experience how complicated and meaningful it is to serve actual constituents instead of corporations and richbros. Get experience at your job.

A 9K square foot ballroom is a really big room. You'd seat 500, 600 people in one for a banquet. I know a few nice spaces bigger in the US, but much bigger and you're looking at a convention center floor, a warehouse...

A 90K square foot ballroom is a disastrous waste of money.

It's game night in America and the Portland Frogs are leading the series 5-0 against the National Iceholes. We've seen several bad calls, but it's pretty clear that the Frogs are undeterred going into the quarterfinals. #NoKings

I was actually so intrigued by Kristi Noem's lack of familiarity with the truth that I produced a mug as well (words out if you're a lefty).
