It’s hard to believe “AI” has a use case beyond doing crime and making people stupider at this point

The greasiest of greasy wins but the Vancouver Rise being the first ever NSL champions? I’ll take it.

The ‘minister for AI*’ is presenting the trophy for the first northern super league championship 🙃

Made these two cups with exactly the same glaze applied exactly the same way but because they have different clay bodies it came out totally different. Glaze is endlessly fascinating!

It is not surprise to me that of all possible potential Labour Party Starmer replacements the one the media seems to want is one of the few people in the party actually more racist and transphobic than Starmer.

If you don’t have a camera on you, you don’t get to take nice pictures of surprise rainbows

Feels like summer was not that long ago but it’s already The Bad Month in Vancouver. At least the mountains open in December (assuming there’s enough snow this year 😬)

Bar optics are not a thing in Canada. One of the ways I know this is the extremely painful video I just watched of a Canadian on holiday in Jamaica trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to put some rum in a mug by putting the mug underneath and pushing the optics with his hand.

Found two places that both are a short detour on my way to work that sells Cadburys Fingers (imported from the uk). It’s so over for my teeth and overall health. 🥲

Pretty sure this is the best espresso blend in Vancouver and it’s not even close. So happy to see it back again!

Nothing quite like the satisfying high of brewing a perfect espresso at home at drinking it out of the perfect cup (that I also made).

Ok yes it’s a post work beer so it’s gonna taste better but I think I actually like a pumpkin pie beer???

First time in since 2021 and the cask is much better on a technical level. Though of the three one was gross (a beer problem not a cask problem) and the other was a lager (I refuse to drink cask lager through both experience and principle).

The third was good enough for a second though!

If the helicopter that started circling around my neighbourhood at 7.20am could kindly fuck off that would be lovely

Instagram ads clearly aren’t as clever as they claim because I can’t imagine anything worse than going to an Oktoberfest beer garden at The Bentall Centre.

Had to defuse a situation at work today for the first time since working in hospitality in Canada and while never pleasant it’s definitely much easier to do in a country with a much more normal attitude towards alcohol.
