I mean, this doesn't even make sense in and of itself but does tell you something about why we don't have a strong left voice in this country (power? No we don't want that!)
Partly because so many formerly leftwing parties have turned to the right, there's a lot of confusion about what right and left mean in politics. I hope this helps:

The right defends economic power.

The left resists economic power.

I see the latest female MP on the right wing witch hunt radar has been found... @sturdyalex.bsky.social you were totally right about Kemi yesterday, this is a disgrace
Four survivors call for Jess Phillips to quit as row deepens over grooming inquiry
They say Jess Phillips has lost survivors' trust, and candidates to chair the inquiry are unfit for the role.

Sharia law is working latest
Violent crime with injury is down in every London borough thanks to the collective efforts of the police and London's Violence Reduction Unit.

But one death or one crime is one too many - so we’ll keep working with partners and the government to drive down crime and make London safer for everyone.

Brilliant episode, of course. But... If Medusa is everything to everybody what can possibly come next? 🤔🤣

Asylum hotel ruling won't feel like much of a victory at Home Office
The government avoids having its asylum policy thrown into chaos but the court ruling is a gift for its opponents.

So the takeaway is that all Labour needed to do was reverse 17 years of economic and social decline in the face of the Ukraine war and Trump and post Brexit within the last 9 months?
They've made many mistakes of course in that time but anyone who thought this wasn't a five/ten year project is mad

@quietriotpod.bsky.social probably a bit late for today but although there's been a lot of reporting on the abolition of NHSE, there's been remarkably little on the need for ICBs to cut 50% of staff, and even less on providers being asked to cut 50% of corporate services...

Great episode today. Definitely extolling the merits of calm reflection rather than knee jerk reaction, but recognising both are valid and useful at times. Alex didn't quite say 'I told you so' but I'm sure there was a little bit of well deserved schadenfreude 😂
