"Rather than end the genocide, the response instead is to continue firing, doxing, smearing, and attempting to censor inconvenient narratives."
House Republicans sent a letter Wednesday asking Wikipedia to reveal the identities of editors it claims have an anti-Israel "bias." It coincides with a similar effort by the far-right Heritage Foundation to "identify and target Wikipedia editors."

GOP Investigation Pressures Wikipedia to Reveal Identities of Editors Accused of 'Bias' Against Israel | Common Dreams
The effort furthers the goals of the Heritage Foundation, which has launched a plan to "identify and target Wikipedia editors" using a number of underhanded tactics.

The Spiderman set having all the multiverse stuff, in a Magic: the Gathering product line designed to create a multiverse of clashing IPs, which arose from a desire to move the game away from Magic's original multiverse just feels immediately exhausting.

In five days Vox Union's contract expires. If Vox can't get this done we need to boycott every single Vox property - The Verge, New York Mag, Vox dot com, Thrillist, Curbed, Grub Street, etc. Unsubscribe from pods too. Support their strike.

- Malört Borg: grimdark fantasy where you get drunk on yummy toilet water & fight your dad

I need to buy good hard wearing sandles for everyday wear including walking but I only know cheap ass ones. What makes a quality Sandle that won't brutalize my feet?

I realized that my switch is entirely games I already owned, and 2024 aside from a few big titles also didn't include a lot of new games it just felt kind of awkward? Shout out to the games I am excited to replay and stuff like UFO50 I want to get to, but it got overwhelming.

Of all the dumb things I have resisted buying in my youth, I am eternally sad to not have an early Gen Furby.

As someone who has done a lot of (fairly popular) public cultural analysis over the past decade while also being in academia: people like knowledge but find the apparatus of schooling in general, and college specifically, to be punitive and labyrinthine.
How do we reconcile the deluge of "the Humanities are dead!" think pieces with what appears to be a massive appetite for rich, sophisticated interpretations of culture & history? What are the affordances/constraints of video essays as a form of public scholarship? As a form of knowledge production?

Reading A Guide to Modern Cookery by A. Escoffieer. The fact that I can just pull this up on @archive.org is so great.

Working on my draft darlings cube idea, just the best designed or favorite cards from draft formats. I realized there's no white or green rares comparable to Bonecrusher Giant for me...

P.S. I have a pose reference feed!
bsky.app/profile/ador...

It picks up any of my curated pose ref artists (DM me if that's you!) who include 1 photo and use any of the trigger tags like #PoseRef. So it won't show everything someone posts, but it'll filter out the poses!

Catching up on Just King Things is the low key hanging out I needed for today.

Let someone else do the work of commenting on Stephen Kings books in publication order.

Also, wheel of time is bad and I regret rereading it.

I guess the endgame of "this #mtg product isn't for me" was deeply foreseeable but I've been playing Magic since Ice Age and I refuse to play with UB. Really shitty way to be driven out of everything except cube.

Trying to teach myself game dev in Godot. There are lots of tutorials but if I succeed I am going back and making a tutorial series called "game dev for people who hate GUIs".

I don't know if it is wierd or not but it just feels awful to be taught a click instead of something I could reuse later.

Does anyone know a good way to find more pen and ink drawing/gesture drawing stuff on here? I tried searching and a lot of the people I follow elsewhere haven't moved over yet.
