Haven't done an intro, so let's get to it!

I am Gwynne, an independent Queer Heretic Nun living a life devoted to my personal growth and curiosity.

I am currently a full-time college student finishing my bachelor's in #philosophy and also a babbly content creator working on a ton of projects.
Writing a paper on Kant's Categorical Imperative while a cat sleeps on my left arm.

It's not a bad life.

What do you mean you're shocked that the generations who had to be bribed to read with pizza parties don't read as adults?

Have you taken the time to mourn who you were "supposed to be" but never became?

I just saw a video of someone about "clarity maxxing."

It's mindfulness.

They were talking about mindfulness practices.

Baudrillard and the Buddha both just had facepalm moments.

Some of the best advice I pick up in life comes from fictional characters.

Word of the Day:

Meteoropathy - pain caused by changes in the weather.

My leg experiences meteoropathy when storms are coming, making it a more reliable predictor of storms than the forecast since DOGE ravaged NOAA.

the muse is just a sleep-deprived goblin
eating cold noodles in the corner,
and the only thing i can manifest
is another tab I won't read.

Looking at my degree plan to see where I'm at towards graduation.

I'll either have to cram some extra credits in the next two semesters or I'll have to take some class next summer, but either way, I'll be graduating in 2026!

30 years after I graduated from high school.

Don’t be the kind of ghoul who is delighted by the death of innocent children in Texas.

That’s Greg Abbott’s thing. Don’t be like Greg Abbott.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

The people saying the federal judge doesn’t understand copyright law should instead realize that they are the ones who didn’t understand copyright law
🚨BREAKING: Federal judge concludes that using copyrighted works to train generative A.I. is transformative and ultimately a fair use. (Nevertheless, Anthropic can’t beat the lawsuit because it pirated books for another purpose too.) First of kind ruling. www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

I attended small town 4th of July parades as a kid that had more energy than Trump's birthday parade did.

Season 21 of Grey's Anatomy just dropped on Netflix, so that's what I'm watching this weekend to regulate my emotions while WWIII and Civil War 2.0 pop off.

Because Grey's Anatomy is less of an emotional rollercoaster than reality right now...

The first battles of the Civil War had spectators.

People showed up and sat to watch it.

Vendors sold food for the event.

The new one will be streamed.

The creators will sell merch.

Just three more weeks and the semester is done. Still debating whether I'm going to take classes summer semester, or drop the classes I'm registered for and take the summer off. Kinda wanna push through and get as many classes in as I can, kinda wanna take a break.

I *know* it's a game.
And yet, when my player character falls, my heart jumps.
Every. Single. Time.
Because for the brain, games are practice.
It makes them a remarkably powerful mindfulness and contemplation tool if you choose the right sorts of games.
