"Take me, subtract movies, and you get zero." - KUROSAWA, Akira https://letterboxd.com/cremildo/
Ridley Scott's final 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯 prequel, natch.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

A movie that takes place where you’re from.

(The same state, not town, in my case.)

The action and the visual effects in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘯 S02 (excuse me, I'm catching up) are as impressive as anything from the movies since 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘴.

Starting to get hyped for 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘶. #tvsky #filmsky

The N64. Though not my first console, it's where I learned how to play a variety of genres and games not aimed strictly at children. It also prompted me to start 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 about gaming.
What's your "Origin Console"?

Most gamers have many favorite systems, but there's always one that basically DEFINES you.

I'm talking about the console that flipped the switch in your mind and turned you into a life-long gamer.

So, which one is it for YOU? 💫

It's just an opinion and nobody should be forced to be a fan of any movie, but it's disturbing that this skeet has way more likes than replies. Even on Reddit it'd probably have been downvoted to oblivion.

Hoping Bluesky hasn't become a repository for anti-oldie hot takes.
Maybe I'm crazy but 2001: A Space Odyssey is such an annoying movie. The long whines and horns mixed with 4-minute long beats of silence while showing us space is probably meant to make the viewer uncomfortable but instead it just makes me wanna turn it off.

If 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 prevails in the Best Original Score and Original Song categories at the Academy Awards, Ludwig Göransson will have won four Oscars in less than a decade. Staggering for a 41-year-old composer. #filmsky 🎬

A Brazilian classic was the highlight of the week, but despite my rating, I can sense Frankenstein will have a long shelf life. #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

Homayoun Ershadi, a renowned Iranian actor, left us today. He was perhaps best known internationally for his debut role in Abbas Kiarostami’s 1997 Cannes Palme d’Or winning film Taste of Cherry. May he rest in peace. #Iran

So true.
There's great (The Strangers), decent (The Dark and the Wicked), poor (The Monster) and dismal (Vicious) horror.

I was about to moan about Hero and House of Flying Daggers not being on 4K UHD, then remembered that Raise the Red Lantern, To Live and Not One Less didn't even get Blu-rays in the US and UK. #filmsky 🎬

Perhaps the flu dulled my senses, but I felt no tension or dread or even concern watching A House of Dynamite. The nonlinear structure and "thought-provoking" ending shook things up a bit but were ultimately of little help. Not a late-career gem by Kathryn Bigelow.

Speaking for myself, a Soderbergh Ben Solo movie is leaps and bounds more interesting than the 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘴 stuff we're getting from Jon Favreau and Shawn Levy.
Talking about The Hunt For Ben Solo, Soderbergh said it was the first time Disney had ever rejected a completed Star Wars script that already had Lucasfilm's approval.

Masahiro Shinoda. I've seen eight of his films so far. Though not always thrilling, they're all showcases for immaculate blocking. Shinoda was a master at arranging elements within the frame, be it 1.37 or 2.35. #filmsky 🎬

Comedy should be listed as a genre for 𝘝𝘪𝘺 on IMDb and Letterboxd. The movie I saw last night was quite clearly and intentionally humorous, from start to finish.

Crestfallen after learning that Shout Factory's 4K UHD of 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 - which I ordered last month - is in the wrong color space. At least the remastered 1080p disc that comes with it is error-free. #filmsky 🎬
