Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Breaking: The House voted unanimously, 426-0, to strip a provision in the funding bill that allowed senators to sue the government for $500K if their phone data was searched without their knowledge.

The provision was designed for GOP senators to sue over the Jack Smith investigation.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. District Court has blocked Texas from using its newly drawn congressional map (passed in mid-2025) for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. 

This ruling is a significant major setback for Texas Republicans and national GOP efforts. They will have to their 2021 map.

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.
