Rather than the collective and thoughtful thinking through of key issues by the collective to get a line, this is much more likely to just be hot takes by individuals, although in reality that’s how most left groups develop party lines, the elevated few deliver their hot takes and that is the line.

Ezra Klein went beyond opposing political violence to extol Charlie Kirk for doing politics "exactly the right way," making up a fictional version of Kirk to praise.
That distortion, with its indulgence of bad faith, is a perfect illustration of the larger media failure that helps Trump.

These sentences - “we are going to have to live here with each other believing what we believe. Disagreeing in the ways we disagree." - do nothing to reckon w/ how one side is EXPLICIT abt not wanting to “live here with each other.” They’re trying to eradicate whole categories of people!
