White “Freedom” T-shirt *lawn signs* are popping up everywhere where I live. Someone making a version with a second line underneath, I’m thinking red, “FOR PEDOS” could make a lot of money. Ooh, billboards! Twist the narrative.

That is what my mind thinks of at 6am. Carry on.

Done!
We’re rolling out billboards in key GOP districts that call House Republicans out by name for backing Trump’s shutdown. Please pitch in if you can to help us make sure constituents in these districts know their GOP representatives are siding with Trump over working families.

Republicans Control Congress.

Spread the word.
The gaslighting is wild. THEY control the White House, the House, and the Senate—yet always find a way to blame Democrats for their mess.

The so-called “$1.5 trillion wish list” is about protecting health care, food assistance, and housing. (1/2)

Credit where credit is due—this shutdown is Republican-led and Republican-Fed.
Republicans in Congress could end the Trump shutdown today by passing a budget deal that protects your health care and takes away Trump’s blank checks.

Let your legislators hear from you.

Great article to read, below. Highly recommend following Greenberg here.
Trump’s “enemy within” rhetoric isn’t bluster — it’s cultural work. Words recast dissent as treason, cities as battlegrounds, and neighbors as expendable. Preparations for military dictatorship are already underway.

Canceled my subscription after the election, but I still skim the headlines on the way down the page to the free games… saw this *today* and thought; does the NYTimes actively oppose our Disney Plus cancelations? I can believe it.

So, will we see a Dem going on TV to say, “Texas is disenfranchising voters and cheating, basically, so we are trying to level the playing field in California.” We should be hearing this around the country esp on Fox News, but Dems are sadly bad at messaging. Cheaters gonna cheat; this needs labels.

On one hand, Republican officials call themselves "warfighters."

On the other, they become whiny crybabies at the thought of setting foot in DC streets and New York City subways that literal schoolchildren navigate every day without incident.

Real macho stuff.

MAGA is more than a political movement—it’s a symbolic system that answers dislocation with identity, confusion with clarity, and loss with belonging. If we want to push back, we need more than critique. We need a new story—and the civic infrastructure to support it.
Between Stories: Understanding MAGA, Rebuilding Democracy
To counter authoritarianism, we need more than critique—we need a shared narrative and civic infrastructure grounded in belonging, dignity, and care.

Kseniia Petrova faces deportation to Russia for a minor offense. ICE has twice refused her lawyer's petition for parole, claiming that the shy "supernerd," as her colleagues describe her, is a "threat to U.S. security" and a "danger to the community."

MAGA is growing among Republicans.

The sociological concept of ‘out groups’ (as opposed to ‘in groups’) applies here.

“I believe part of the answer lies in a fundamental aspect of our humanity: the urge to destroy that from which you feel excluded.”
