Eh, wish it were so simple! Trump wanted the government shut down to continue to find excuses to furlough tens of thousands more government workers, which his admin did last month. 74,300 IRS employees more and counting, for example. More of the same government dismantling with zero consequences.

“Republicans Control Congress” should be a repeated mantra for every Dem being interviewed. Instead we get “Democrat Shutdown” and people believe it going into November elections. Ugh.
