Dad, husband, organic farmer, sorting out mid-life. Born at 325 ppm atmospheric CO2.
USPS shipping rates have skyrocketed this year, and delivery times increased. I used to ship almost solely with USPS, and now I barely use them at all.

34 years ago I joined the University of East Anglia Canoe Club in Norwich England and learned to whitewater kayak. Had an amazing year running rivers and surfing the ocean. Sadly I didn't keep it up when I got home. Kayaks were too expensive and I didn't have anyone to go with.

I have so much bookkeeping work to do today, but my brain is really ADHDing. Just can't get started.

I wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until my 50s, but I definitely had a sock maintenance system in college! 🤦‍♂️
I can't find it due to search engines no longer working, but there's an old tumblr screenshot about ADHD evaluations where a person is asked whether they tend to lose socks.

And they go "Ah, no, I used to lose my socks all the time but I have Devised a System, allow me to explain it"

This is such bullshit. We sell a lot of California rice to Japan every year. And there is an entire branch of USDA that tracks it (NASS).

I was born in 1970. Summer temps are now 4 degrees hotter than when I was in kindergarten. 🤬
Let's check in and see how summer temperatures have changed during the last 50 years. 🔥🔥🔥

Just got back from a week on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. Absolutely spectacular place! Kayaking in a fjord has long been a bucket list item for us. So grateful to have been able to experience it, while also mourning how fast this landscape is changing.

I did not know that biscuit art was a thing. But these are amazing
Today is National Biscuit Day, and it’s about time that I populated this account with biscuit (cookie) sets from the past few years. Here are some of my favourites. 🧵

First up, a set inspired by the delicious designs of William Morris and John Henry Dearle.

I want to see something: Do people outside of the Philadelphia area know about the "Delco Pooper"?

Fox: "What's the impact on farmers?"
THE US SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE: "well, we'll see."

So comforting.

US farmers are about to get fucked.
Luckily, the Chinese won’t respond to a 67% tariff in any way whatsoever, right?
