If Jesus is Lord, then the Market God is not.

How do we report the Market God to HR?
Just reporting Bible facts here, folks.

The Market god is a shapeshifter and a Trickster, becoming whoever he needs to be soak up more power.

a lot of people don't realize that Christmas carols and traditions are actually folk memories of suppressed pre-Christian events, namely the end of the Third Age and the Fall of Sauron.

The Market god demands sacrifice — human sacrifice.

People will die from this.
Ohio family: Our insurance premium is set to more than triple in the new year. It's not affordable. Who has an extra $1,500 to just spend? And that's just the premium. It's also a $15,000 deductible. That's more than a mortgage payment. Unfortunately for us, we're choosing to not have health care.

And so they will become unusable and catch on fire again. The fascist oligarchs don’t care and seize our water then charge us to use it.

We can resist grace as long as we want. But eventually, we’ll choose to rest into the grace we’ve avoided.

Grace is resistible, but in the end grace is unavoidable.

All super rich guys sound the same now. It’s all “I sleep four hours a night and spend the other twenty hours a day developing a product that’s going to bring us the best widespread poverty anyone’s ever seen.”

Okay so Eric Schmidt might have one-upped me. I’ve been saying Capitalism is the latest hit religion. He’s saying the next hit religion will be AI.

I suppose he’ll want to be in the AI religion’s Curia.

I wonder if Baby Jesus knew that one day his birthday would be celebrated by people all over the world as part of Toyotathon.

We are not “resources” to be managed and used — we are the very image of God. The Market can’t top that!

For me, AI is a much more affordable creative assistant / grad student.

I still know more about my own theology than it does, but the chatbot helps me connect the dots I’m actively drawing myself more quickly.

AI speeds up my own creative process.

Don’t you love it when someone tells an evangelical part of their story, and the evangelical says, “yeah, but here’s the story you’re supposed to have.”

If God *equals* pure, selfless generosity, we know a few things about God.

1) Selfless generosity isn’t interested in being all-powerful. Just doesn’t cross its mind. God isn’t interested in being all-powerful, so neither should we.

It’s not that God “chooses” to be selfless generosity. It’s that God *equals* pure, selfless generosity.
