Prime Minister Mark Carney disagrees with the concept of a premier of one province unilaterally taking over a different province but his hands are tied by his unwillingness to do anything about it.

Nigel Farage missed Keir Starmer's Commons statement on the UK-EU Summit earlier this week.

He's now missing today's Westminster Hall debate on the summit.

Because just a few days before parliamentary recess, he's on holiday.

(Which is his 10th trip abroad at least since the general election).

Nearly half of British youth would rather be young in a world with no internet. It’s a damning indictment of what social media has become.

As its harms continue to grow, governments need to act — but they must take the right measures instead of reaching for easy fixes.

Quebec is planning to impose new rules on streaming companies to include more Francophone content on their platforms and to make it more visible to users.

It’s hard to disagree with any jurisdiction moving forward with local content rules for streaming.

Politicians should be leaving their comment sections open.

I know many of them face abuse there, and that’s absolutely terrible. However, public forums should be a place for (hopefully respectful) discourse, even if it is sometimes toxic.

Politicians don’t need echo chambers.

Where did THIS Mike Johnson come from? I hate to admit it, but I like this dude and wish I saw him more often.

Btw, fire Katherine Clark: she’s a stock guru and she profited off of COVID-19 quite significantly. Such a bad look for the Democrats.
House Speaker Mike Johnson said he supports a ban on stock trading by members of Congress amid controversy about well-timed trades during recent market volatility.

Lemme guess… Danielle Smith will call the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills by-election before the one in Edmonton-Ellerslie, and even more damning, she’ll probably hold this by-election before the one in Edmonton-Strachona!

Just a prediction here, but I’m sure I’ll be proven right very soon.

How about we ignore this possible corruption in favour of trains?

(yes, I’m on the spectrum. how could you tell?)
#NEW: Former Alberta UCP infrastructure minister Peter Guthrie has accused the husband of Premier Danielle Smith of working as an unregistered lobbyist, which allegedly included an attempt to meet with Guthrie about a major rail link between Calgary and Banff.

I’m a very proud member of @bcnewdemocrats.bsky.social but I’m far from proud about Bill 15.

In the form in which it was passed, it violates UNDRIP, and places us at risk of neglecting our environment in favour of building things quickly and without regard.

There is a better way. We can do both.

I sent a letter because we don’t need to give more money to worldwide corporations like TransDev.

Public transit is public. We must free it from corporate control.

Please send a letter today & join the fight for publicly operated and well funded HandyDart service for all Metro Van residents.
Vancouver! Here's a rare chance to get an essential service back under public control.

HandyDART should never have been contracted out to a foreign for-profit corporation.

Write a letter and let's win this with @atucomms.bsky.social‬ and our local coalition!

When I was elected, my son was struggling with me being away.

Premier @jjhorgan showed up unplanned to play Pokémon and to tell him why he needed me in Victoria.

He cared for his colleagues families as much as he cared for families across BC.
