Made a new mixtape with a healthy dose of jazz-adjacent and post-rock vibes, and wrote a little bit about the unnameability of depression (and a couple of books I loved reading recently)

Wrote a bit about PRAED Orchestra’s latest, ‘The Dictionary of Lost Meanings,’ for A Closer Listen. It’s a pretty wild fusion of Arabic urban pop and big-band free-jazz, and honestly just a thrilling ride.

Very grateful for 'Duvet' from Ida Urd & Ingri Høyland, released a few weeks ago by Balmat, just in time for the leaves to turn. Exceedingly gentle, ornately detailed, at once intensely calming and emotionally engaging. Incredible stuff.

this tendency within contemporary liberalism is intimately connected with its aversion to acknowledging past or present colonialism
Liberals are unwilling to admit that there is a form of politics that exists in the world that centers around causing harm for pleasure, destroying things, and looting the rubble, and they're unwilling to admit that this politics has a stranglehold on the right

Loved this excellent primer on the political economic context of the Zionist settler-colonial project in Palestine from @versobooks.bsky.social. It’s succinct but also far-reaching in scope, and could be an amazing resource for groups looking to get on the same page in terms of big-picture analysis.
