I'm hugely disappointed in @arcountry.bsky.social.

Today is Dolly Parton's 80th birthday.

Every day, Absolute Radio do a segment called Through The Decades, where they play a song from each decade 70s until 20s.

They could have easily done that entirely with Dolly's songs, and chose not to!

Loudly and officially giving ICE the ok to do more murders.

This is both a hopeful step, but also hugely disappointing that it wasn't already illegal...

The UK is looking to create a new law to make *creating* deep fake porn illegal, and Ofcom are investigating X over this and might fine them a fairly hefty amount...

UK to bring into force law to tackle Grok AI deepfakes this week
It is currently illegal to share deepfakes, but the law against creating them has not yet come into force.

I'm sure it's just coincidence and in no way related to the state of the world right now, but Sky keeps recommending the film Nuremberg to me...

Reporting the X app in the Play store for producing, hosting and distributing child porn is apparently only possible if I can provide links to the offending materials and the exact laws that it's violated! Which means I can't report it without finding the stuff first, which I'm not about to do! 🤮

There's a proposed new housing development on a field near us. A lot of people round here object for a variety of reasons.

We submitted our objection letter yesterday and this morning I got the official acknowledgement response. As an RTF file.
I don't know the last *decade* I saw one of those!

I'm considering trying out #mastodon again, see if I can get into it this time.
What servers are people using? What do you recommend?

So, it seems that Apple have changed their version number strategy. Fair enough.

But it means I'm currently upgrading my work MacBook from 15.7 up to 26.2. Which looks like I'm 11 major versions behind!

The thus far unreleased Epstein files must be really really bad if Trump is not only committing, but openly boasting about committing, war crimes (or, at the least, very serious international crimes).

He either thinks he's untouchable, or that this is less bad than the other crimes he's committed..

Still watching through Star Trek TNG.

Series 5 Episode 1 - Redemption II - has a reference to when Tasha joined the Enterprise C and went back to its own time - Yesterday's Enterprise.
And Picard has no idea about any of that. Despite the fact that it happened in S3, and he was definitely there...

Turns out our Reform led council have been so busy ensuring that the council property can't fly Pride flags that they haven't managed to grit the pavements for this snow/ice spell we're currently in...

Because clearly bigotry is more important than people's safety... 😡

Last night, we weren't forecast any snow.
This morning, we're not forecast any snow. We're expecting some on Weds but not before that.

And yet, everywhere is covered in snow.
And because this is a new estate, the roads aren't gritted. Though apparently neither are the roads in the wider area!

I'm half wondering if the DOJ censoring the released #EpsteinFiles in such a way that they were easily recovered was really incompetence, or if someone over there actually has half a backbone and did it deliberately so they were complying with orders but still getting the proof released...

So, to clarify.
They tried to redact everything that would implicate Trump or any of their own in the #EpsteinFiles. (But missed a few bits they've since had to pull)
And they fabricated evidence to implicate others at the same time.

Hands up who's surprised by this.
Anyone? Noone.

#BookSky people. I've just set up Fable instead of Goodreads for my books. It seems better then Goodreads, but still not as good as I'd like. What do other people think of it?

Everyone pointing out that MRIs are not preventative are missing the point.

All the while you're saying that, you're not demanding the release of the Epstein files.

So, they're helping to prevent that...

A Christmas movie is one that only works if it involves Christmas.

Many "Christmas" movies would work at any time of year. For example, Home Alone would work equally well at Easter.

Die Hard requires a company-wide party in the middle of winter. Christmas is really the only choice...
