Petition: Reduce the maximum noise level for consumer fireworks from 120 to 90 decibels
We think each year, individuals suffer because of loud fireworks. We believe horses, dogs, cats, livestock and wildlife can be terrified by noisy fireworks and many people find them intolerable.

I'm conflicted.
On the one hand, I keep considering a new #StardewValley farm.
On the other hand, time and brain power aren't exactly in high availability right now...

We all know that Mike Johnson is refusing to recall the House because he knows this will ultimately lead to the Epstein Files being released.
We're all assuming that he doesn't want this because - as we know - Trump is in them.
But what if it's because Mike Johnson is in them himself?

When we say to tax the super rich, what do we mean?
Let's start with anyone worth more than £95 billion. Why that number? That's the total prize payout of the national lottery - not just the jackpots but all prizes - since it started over 30 years ago.
There are people worth more than that...

Does anyone have any recent experience of #SkyStream as compared to #SkyQ?
I've heard some horror stories but they're all quite old so I don't know if they're still the case.

Out of curiosity - if you're starting a new project, how do you come up with names? In particular, internal names whilst it's being developed.
These tend to get everywhere in the project - eg repo names, Java package names, Go module names, etc - and so I'm curious how people choose them...

Maybe it's just me, but it seems that the very first people who should stop getting paid in a government shutdown are the people responsible for it. That is, Congress and the President. They can afford to miss a couple of paychecks much more than the people who are actually getting hurt by this...

Re-watching (New) Dr Who from the start, and I've just reached Pompeii.
Which means I've just seen Peter Capaldi buying a TARDIS. But this isn't the twelfth doctor - just someone else who looks exactly like him.

I've been pondering a new idea - basically a single player #MUD game.
By having a MUD experience you don't need to worry about art and sound assets, which means you can make a much more involved, complex world than if it's graphical.

So Farage has been going on about how Angela Raynor didn't pay enough stamp duty - by mistake. And that story is all over the news.
It turns out that Farage has been deliberately fiddling his earnings from being a GB News presenter so he could pay less tax. And this is hardly being reported at all.
