Let’s hear it for Richie Valens as well as the Big Bopper and Buddy Holly who went down in a plane crash early in their careers. I often wonder what their music would have been like had they lived. they moved the needle big time in the creation of R’n’R.
His favorite acts are The Righteous Brothers, George Benson, Ritchie Valens and Aretha Franklin. I know this only bc he used to make me burn CDs for him in high school.
You can’t just slip in “The Righteous Brothers” as his favorite band without some kind of explanation as to how that is even possible. There has to be a story.
