Every year the best rides of the year are when I meet up with friends to mountain bike the old mine pits of the Iron Range in Minnesota for my birthday. Even when I forget to get all my braking done before the corner. Sometimes you shred the red, sometimes red shreds you. :)

El pequeño Toro, battery electric snowblower handled a first pass at this snow with typical aplomb. Chute got clogged a couple times at the end due to deep slush at a low spot. If you have the means I highly recommend.

Much like “A few bad apples” when describing police abuses and corruption leaves out the second part of that adage, “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” was a cartoon based on how asinine relying on individual effort was in getting ahead. See also “the customer is always right”.”
Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Half the amount that everyone currently pays could provide universal healthcare. Private health companies don’t need to exist. Eliminate them. And use your collective buying power and economies of scale to get it done. Every cent of their profit is healthcare denied.

I really don’t understand the hatred of wind turbines. Every time I see one I think, “Look!! A wind turbine” like a 3 year old seeing a dump truck. Then I watch it lazily spinning out there as long as I can.
