This deserves a longer love letter than a QRP, but it's so gratifying to see this stuff. Witches have done good work decolonizing practices & aligning politics with their beliefs- should be obvious, but 100% wasn't as a babywitch in the 90s. Apolitical apathy was the vibe in my circles then.

I think Hephaestus and other disabled Gods are so important because their existence discredits ableist conceptions of "perfection." Hephaestus reminds us that wholeness, perfection, divinity, and disability are *not* mutually exclusive.
