32 people died in ICE custody last year — the agency’s deadliest year in over two decades.

Meanwhile, private prison corporations that are building and overseeing ICE detention centers are raking it in.

Cashing in on cruelty.

American Rachel Corrie was murdered by the IDF who ran her over in a bulldozer as she protested against their destruction and theft of Palestinian land in the West Bank.

The USA ignored it, we now know if ICE had done it in the USA they would ignore it too.

MAGA and Donald Trump want Americans to literally reject the evidence of their eyes and ears.

The way they shamelessly lie to us should infuriate everyone, including their voters.

We have the video of January 6th. We have the video of an ICE agent murdering a woman in cold blood in Minneapolis.

Agreed - people agreeing to donate £1+/month to @essehouse.bsky.social are enabling us to do SO much. We're obviously grateful for all support and donations, but that regular income for the organisation is vital.

Currently, it sits at about £50/month from recurring donations from a few people

As someone who has a site that runs on ads and one that runs with subscribers I can confirm that the 'profit' of one paying subscriber is indeed worth thousands of non paying ad viewers.
Echoing this to say that $1 a month to a creator whose work you like is equivalent to easily a thousand ad-supported views on their videos. Even a little bit of support makes a hugely outsized difference - pick your favourites and support where you can.

Hi @libbybrooks.bsky.social. This part of what Stephenson said is a lie;

“where you are providing single-sex services, the supreme court has said those have to be on the basis of biological sex.”

Do you fact-check or interview trans people to put our case, at the Guardian?

How we beat back the corporate takeover of America:

1. Break up corporate monopolies
2. Continue building union power
3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics

Let’s keep working to unrig the system.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable.

We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Democrats must remember this — and act on it.

Eye opener to discover the rumour and supposition that senior managers foment, rather than just asking when they don't understand something.

Even in these times of rapidly shifting norms, there was something shocking about the recent Home Office change in internal guidance, slipped in without the need for legislative scrutiny, to deny British citizenship to anyone arriving in the UK “in an unauthorised manner”;
Denying refugees citizenship? How low can we go?
