A deep interest in the pre-Windows home computer revolution, specifically the 8-bit, Commodore, and Amiga scene that defined that period of immense technological change for the home computer user.

Learning 6502 programming is still a valid way to hone your low-level coding skills. The 6502 is perhaps one of the earliest RISC CPUs, so you could trace the path from it to the Arm CPUs in just about everything today.

IT is FREAKIN' HERE!!

The November issue of Compute!'s Gazette .. well I just subscribed, so I'm just getting mine. Nice to have a computer rag in the house again!

This issue reminds me of another, so long ago. The cover of Byte. Mom looks soooo mad!

TONIGHT 8pm GMT at twitch.tv/NAG_Graham - our penultimate look at #Amiga games from 1994. Some interesting titles still remain but we're also scraping the bottom of the barrel so if you like seeing particularly bad games then you know where to look...

Selling my souped up Commodore Amiga 500 and 1084S Monitor back in 1998 was one of my regrettable decisions in life.

For the first time today, after 27 years and some repair work, I booted up a real physical Amiga for the very first time.

Giddy giddy!!

🕹C64 Game of the Day🕹
Defender of the Crown (1987) by Master Designer Software and published by Cinemaware/Mirrorsoft. Very ambitious and a fantastic achievement. Looking just as stunning as other versions, this has great gameplay too. #C64GameOfTheDay #Commodore64 #C64

Breaking down a Commodore Amiga 3000. Small amount of battery damage but nothing that a couple new caps and diodes can't repair.

Is a modern web browser finally coming to the Amiga?

Soon. Maybe.

You play all your favorite door games and hop into the chat room.

There's so much amazing open-source hardware to expand the capabilities of retro machines these days, it's incredible how different the landscape is for them compared to even 10 years ago.

Obtained an old Amiga 500 which had the trapdoor RAM and real time clock expansion card.

If you have any of these old computers with a battery .. open them up and check them out. This had electrolyte damage on RAM, sockets, caps, resistors .. and of course the battery itself.

What is or was your favourite Amiga magazine?

I subscribed to "Amiga World" but would often grab others off the newsstand or from the local computer store.

The battery leakage damage (which I cleaned up in the photos) is almost cool looking. Luckily it usually stays relegated to the battery section, leaving the RAM expansion portion working.
