Nothing beats that.
The next movie I plan to pay money to see in theaters (unless it ends up getting an advance screening here in town that I obtain passes to) is The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which is mainly noteworthy because the last movie I paid money to see in theaters is The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

I never really had a hangup about being picked last during gym class (not that we did a lot of schoolyard pick-style activities). I'm sure it happened, but I have no specific memories of it and I certainly wasn't traumatized by it. I guess it was expected being the fat kid, so why let it bother me?

That Tomodachi Life game looks kinda interesting, but it seems like I would have to put quite a bit of effort into it in order to get not a lot of output from it. Like, I'd have to spend hours customizing and creating things (which I wouldn't be good at) just to get a few minutes of enjoyment.

This is some coward shit. These motherfuckers were willing to get paid to do the work to make this bullshit, but now they don't want to put their name on it? They knew the terrible people they were working with before they took the job, so none of their excuses sound even remotely reasonable.

They've been ramping up the political ads recently, and pretty much every Republican primary ad so far is some version of "I'm the Trumpiest Trump fan that ever Trumped!" along with some bad AI image of them standing next to him. Can't wait until the general when they act like they don't know him.

Fact: Discovery is the first CD I ever bought (along with a Discman, which I might still have around somewhere), and it's still one of my favorite albums of all-time. I generally don't buy non-standard POPs (jumbo, multipacks), but I might make an exception for these out of nostalgia.

It's always weird to me when people say NES and SNES as if they're words. None of my family or friends that I talked about video games with ever called them that when I was growing up. They were either Nintendo and Super Nintendo or N-E-S and S-N-E-S (i.e. you say each letter).

I was listening to a podcast and they mentioned a movie ticket being $20, and I was shocked. Like, I know different aspects such as location, time and format factor into ticket prices, but there's absolutely no way I'd pay that much for one. I think the most I've ever paid for one is maybe $11?

So George R.R. Martin's relationship with Ryan Condal is kinda like his relationship to finishing the books?
George R.R. Martin isn't mincing words about his "abysmal" relationship with House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal.

I always had this cool memory of seeing Pokemon: The First Movie back when it came out. Not because of the movie itself (though I did like it back then and still like it now), but because of the way it happened. I hadn't planned on seeing it, but my friend just came over and invited me to see it.

I feel like I'm literally the target audience for this, but since I still have them on DVD I don't really see much reason to upgrade. Other than saving space (since it's on one disc versus six), it's not really an upgrade at all since you're still getting the same level video quality. Pass.

I drove by a store I've been to (back in the day I considered it one of the good ones) the other day and saw it was closed, and another one I've been to a few times (more than a decade ago) was also on a list of closures. But the two stores closest to me are apparently still open (for now, anyway).

As much as I love that PNC Bank commercial about the twins' naming rights, I always start to overthink it concerning what their actual last name is. The first two names mentioned sound like Benzino then Coley, which makes it seem like this is a pretty small class to make that big of a jump.

I watched some of that New Game Plus showcase earlier, and it was a pretty big meh. Ignoring that most of the games didn't interest me and that I didn't know who any of those content creators were, I felt like the main problem with it was that the format was awful. Particularly the discussion parts.

I'm struggling to figure out what the point of Harlan Coben's Final Twist is. It's just your run of the mill true crime show (i.e. Dateline, 48 Hours) with a famous mystery writer (their words, I've never heard of the guy) attached to it that talks at you like you're five. So strange and pointless.

Best Medicine was okay, but man it feels like it will get old fast if there isn't more to it. A show like this only works if it has good characters, and this show definitely isn't there yet. Not only is the lead unlikable, but most of the residents introduced so far are pretty annoying as well.

This guy has made more money from one movie than most people will ever make working for their entire life, yet I'm supposed to feel some kind of sympathy for him because he pissed it all away living beyond his means (and doing who knows what else with it)? This guy can go fuck all the way off.

Just finished watching both Wicked films for the first time back-to-back. I thought Wicked was pretty good, while For Good was just okay at best. While I've heard the song plenty of times before, it was nice to finally have context for Defying Gravity (which was easily the highlight of either film).

While catching up on Chicago Fire, I realized that it's now the longest running scripted live action series I'm currently watching (14 seasons). I guess it happened after Blue Bloods ended last season. And the funny thing is, second and third on the list are Chicago P.D. (13) and Chicago Med (11).

I wasn't terribly excited for either movie, but I ended up enjoying both versions of The Running Man. If I had to choose I'd probably go with the newer one, though they both have their pros and cons. I enjoyed the new one's cast in particular, especially Michael Cera, Lee Pace and Emilia Jones.

I watched all three Tron movies for the first time this week, and I can't really say I'm a fan. They look pretty (well, I'm sure the first one did when it originally came out, but it looks like ass now) and have some bumpin' beats, but the plots range from pretty stupid to completely nonsensical.

I just saw something that said Chris D'Elia is performing in town next week. I thought that dude got cancelled for being a pedophile or something (I'm pretty sure he literally got CGI'd out of a movie because of it), but I guess you really can't keep a shitty white man down.

I'm watching some movie called Trap House. Even though the premise sounds kinda ridiculous, it somehow managed to assemble a decent cast (Dave Bautista, Bobby Cannavale, Sophia Lillis) and was produced by Ridley Scott. The movie isn't horrible, but I'm not sure it's worthy of the talent involved.

This Karoline Leavitt photo thing is so weird. Showing how someone actually looks like is now an attempt to embarrass them? I'm sorry that this lady looks ugly as fuck (which you can tell even without the super close-up photo), but pointing it out doesn't mean there's a smear campaign against her.

I still haven't been able to cut the Twitter cord completely, but I have been posting on here more often compared to when I first started the account. The main issues are that most of the contests are still over there and I do get more engagement (however little I get) over there as well.
