Layers of time: How digging for a car park revealed the soul of Brussels
When Brussels broke ground for a sleek new city hall, it stumbled into its own origins: the buried remains of a medieval port.

I wrote about Underground Brussels, the result of 1,000 years of digging, building, filling-in and forgetting. A hidden second city for which there's no proper map.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.
He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

The BBC's addiction to giving a platform to lying arseholes that hate the BBC and everyone else is worse than any dodgy edit.
Jacob-Rees Mogg supports President Trump's right to sue the BBC
He then repeatedly asks Gillian Tett questions but doesn't let her reply, so Victoria Derbyshire has to step in and tell him off

"There are now questions about the entire future of the BBC", according to the hourly bulletin on LBC, which daily recycles the utterances of its gobshite guests as news.
LBC, which employed Farage, Hopkins, Nawaz as presenters, where politics is covered by literal Conservative activists posing as journalists, is cock-a-hoop at defective reporting ethics and fables of left-wing bias at the BBC.

And of course Mosey is on the Flemish news tonight.
This is a "conspiracy theory", according to Roger Mosey who was wheeled out on the radio earlier.
Robbie Gibb should quite simply not be in that role. He makes no pretence of his own bias. While he has power the BBC will continue to rot.

Prescott also thinks there should be more push alerts about migrants! Nobody should be taking this list of far-right grievances seriously. It's just one guy's opinion
Institutional capture of the BBC: Michael Prescott former political editor of the Murdoch Sunday Times - so you can guess his politics - alleges the following. All the current far right obsessions in bullet points. Laughable and totally rancid

Rue de la Loi 159, now Justus Lipsius building. In 1882, an Antwerp lawyer was shot dead here by his wife's lover's brother who lured him there by posing as a steamship investor and gun collector. The 'Peltzer Affair' was turned into a hit play the following year and a Hollywood movie in 1934.
