Just ate leftover marmalade bread and butter pudding with brandy butter and brandy cream because needs must. 10/10 highly recommend. Thinking about some sort of Wensleydale/pickled walnut/Pringle canapé tomorrow.

Husband tells me he’s going to bed but has to feed the dog her bedtime cheese…when she kicks me awake having a pedalling yippety nightmare, I get to kick him, no? A sub clause of the cheese tax if you will.

I’m always very behind on podcasts so just listening to the Jane and Fi book club edition covering Joanna Cannon’s The Trouble With Goats and Sheep which I absolutely loved. They have raised something about the ending that had completely eluded me and now I’m sad.

Just ate a maraschino cherry (for science) from a jar that’s been open in the fridge since the last snowballs of 2023. If it doesn’t kill me, you bet that’s what I’ll be giving them again this year.

When your favourite human (weekdays & non-holidays only) has been sweeping leaves outside for an hour and the temp is below 18C so you show your displeasure by wearing your dog flap as at hat and glaring out of it, occasionally slamming the flap down for emphasis.
