Also Rogér Fakhr, a folk artist from 70s Beirut. Hauntingly beautiful songs.

Another one I love is Entropy, a power pop/college rock band from Germany that sound exactly like a spiritual sucessor of Bob Mould's side projects. Its like Mould's Sugar but heavier.

There are so many right now. Theres a hardcore/metal/crossover band from Poland called "The Dog" that is so good. The kind of sound for fans of Helmet.

PROS:

Albums curated by real humans; artists being better payed; hi-fi quality as a standard.

---

CONS:

As it is a new platform some hidden gens are not there YET
(like those "less than 500 monthly listeners" artists in Spotify). This will quickly change, I believe.

This is my first day testing Qobuz as a music streaming platform and I must say I'm positively impressed. It's a bit too early to say it, but I'm starting to feel it will be my new home. It pays 4x more to artists and it's CEO is not investing in war.

I can't wait to leave Spotify forever.

I've watched it!

The movie is a mess, but a very beautiful one. It gave me goosebumps twice. Great soundtrack.

I love to keep track of stuff making lists writing about it to myself. I have a Notion page for the films I watch and it feels a lot like trophies hanging on a wall.

Movies like The Keep remind me I actually LOVE watching movies and have no attention span at all 𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 they are 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘮 𝘥'𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘶𝘳: works of art that reflect the creative vision of the team behind it. It's not that hard.

I've watched Michael Mann's The Keep (1983) during my lunch break today and wow, that is such a cool good-looking movie. Not gonna lie: seeing N*z*s dying horrible deaths while caught in the middle of a battle between supernatural forces is always very satisfying to me.

My next objetive in life as a game designer is to somehow create analog games that achieve what management sim games did on computer during the 90s:

They made thinking and building 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 a fun task.

Just released the Expanding Atlas, a printable notebook that lets you record the same map at varying granularities!

Because it uses 6x6 grids, it also makes it incredibly easy to randomize regions and specific locations!

One of the things o hate the nost on this new AI based era is that unless I see the process behind the music creation... I think its non human. Specially when were talking music. An artist no one ever saw playing live? No thanks, "so say we all" .

Tonight I went to a very blessed Sunday service with my new Touché Amore t-shirt. I know the world is shaking in scarier ways these days but fear not, the Lamb has won. Have a great week, my friends. God bless we all.
