Weekly #forestpark #pdx update: Kinda miserable for trail running, tbh. The leaves were pasted to the trail with mud and the canopy above was just letting all the rain through.

Plenty of solitude and foggy views. Very #silentsunday themed.

I just wanted a hot shower and warm house afterwards.

Another sunny day for a trail run in #forestpark #pdx! This is my typical view. The dog can run much faster than me. At this point I’m hoping the rains stay away for a few more weekends.

You know you’re getting old when your favorite bands start performing with the symphony. That said, this was a fantastic show.

My only regret about the picture is that Jenny Conlee got cut out and her enthusiasm was one of the best parts of the show.

Same trail, ten minutes apart. It was nice to have the atmospheric river dry up for a little bit, but most of my time in #forestpark #pdx looked like the first picture.

It’s been a while! Today started off as extremely rainy, which left the forest floor pretty muddy and wet. But the view above was really nice! Even though we’re well into autumn there is still a ton of green in the trees. #pdx #forestpark

So, I got to hang out with Caesar the No Drama Llama the other day. I don’t think it can be a bad day if you get to hug a #llama on said day. What a sweet creature!

Another mollusk picture from #forestpark in #pdx this week. I stopped my run to see a banana #slug crossing a little bridge next to me.

There was some kind of trail race today happening in the park. It looked like fun! The slug was thankfully not on the course.

I saw this snail on my weekend #ForestPark #pdx outing and figure I’d take a picture looking down for once. Much prettier than the banana slugs!

I haven’t been visiting Bluesky as much as before. It’s no fault of you lovely folks! I wish I could better separate “dread of the world ending as we know it” from “fun hacks people do with old computers”.

Yeah, this. I loved Gaiman's (pre-about-2005) work from when I was eleven to when I was 45. But as soon as the details came out last year -- "yeah, fuck that arsehole, I hope the women he hurt are as OK as possible" became the only possible response. Not "but my books!"
The Gaiman news should be devastating because of your empathy and care for his victims, not because he created your ~comfort characters~ or whatever Tumblr ass bullshit.

I made Pack2List, a tool that helps you create a list from a StarterPack!

The idea is to get to follow them and have them organised without following them all

check it out here: pack2list.nabil.blue
(let me know if you have any ideas/feedback)

Last week I learned about @nabilhunt.bsky.social's tool to unfollow a specific Starter Park and I mentioned it would be good to be able to "move" a Starter Pack from my timeline follows to a specific list. He came through with a new tool now!

Check out Pack2List: pack2list.nabil.blue

Thanks Nabil!

This is a great thread which was originally written for a previous California wildfire.
this electrical transmission tower has a little problem. can you spot it? actually, it's not a small problem--it cost us 16.65 *billion* dollars and caused the deaths of 85 people.

I'm probably late to the Atarashii Gakko train, but take a gander at this delightfully bonkers J-pop (?? kind of like OK-Go, Blackpink, and the cast of an Idol anime had a baby)... also, peep the Oshi no Ko reference (iykyk).
