Today I tried to use my Dutch skills to write the word for “voice note.” Turns out I wrote the word “ballot paper” and confused the recipient of my message greatly, for which I apologise. “Stembericht.” #everydayisaschoolday

Baby’s first race. Bit doomed as three J13 girls and a J13 boy racing boats of four J14 boys. But good practice for what has to happen at a regatta and all the expectations and emotions. Including that post racing you can eat what you want at Maccas.

It has been frustrating for a good while that as an American citizen abroad, no British trading firm would let me buy shares due to various restrictions. Which at least means that this week I am unaffected. Except tanking the global economy affects us all. Empathy is a superpower, not a weakness.
