Trump was playing golf while our pilots were flying over Iran? He saw no need to be in a command center and ready for immediate communications. Incompetent or unserious - or both?

Republicans should be extra worried about what Musk is doing with the access and data gathered by DOGE. What is being put together by Palantir, using all that? Is Musk speaking up because he knows he has collected great power, based on data? Or is he just taking too many drugs?

Both frightening and absurd, these tariffs appear to have been created by AI (yhoo.it/3FVVu3e). Just as with the Musk/DOGE cuts in government staffing, the use of AI without thoughtful, informed assessment of the results leads to wrong outcomes (i.e. DISASTROUS).

There are multiple sources saying all major AI's come up with the same stupid calculations for tariffs. In addition to this one, Krishnon Rohit found the same result and reported it on X.

This is a really important point. Private Hearings in the Senate are needed to find out how widely this is happening and why.
Using Signal instead of secure facilities also means the messages and documents were deleted instead of being archived. This was purposefully insecure. Now the administration wants to scapegoat the journalist for being invited.
March 25, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Three more factors to consider: 1. This group does not trust the established secure communications channels and deliberately selected Signal to avoid other in the US government following their discussion. This would suggest there has been a lot of use of Signal, not just this time.

A friend received notification her Social Security was cut by $600. There was no justification cited. She will contact her local US Congressperson. There is also the possibility it is a scam - lots of vulnerable folks will likely be scammed in this situation as well, such as to click a link.

America is not Russia. It has stronger civic institutions. But those institutions do not defend themselves. People have to do so. Universities, philanthropies, corporations, nonprofits, and professional organizations need to remind each other of the power they have, and the principles they stand for

It was more than a treat for Putin. I believe the ambush was intended to also take our attention away from all the disastrous actions right here in the USA because of Musk and the onslaught of Project 2025 going full speed ahead.
During yesterday’s Oval Office meeting, Trump and Vance revealed to Americans and to America’s allies their alignment with Russia, and their animosity toward Ukraine in general and its president in particular. The truth is ugly, but it’s necessary to face it.

Horrific. Trump is just a bully. This is not diplomacy, this should have been worked out in private, before the meeting. Terrible mis-reading of the strategic situation.

Why was this set up this way? Did Trump want a chance to be "strong"? Or was this just another case of gross incompetence.
Oh my God.

Donald Trump and JD Vance are attacking Zelensky in the Oval Office.

This is a complete fucking embarrassment.

She sees the game. One response is for Democrats to not help Republicans fund the government unless (1) Musk & crew are blocked from all government access and (2) That funding is short term (3 month) renewed only if Trump is obeying Court orders. Use GOP divisions. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/12/o...
